The Center has the capacity to welcome 17 children
From 7 to 13 years old
Length of stay at the center:
It varies from one child to another depending on each case as well as on the rehabilitation plan developed by the specialist in charge. It can last from one month to one year. There are cases where we have not been able to find the parents, which makes the child’s integration difficult. The rehabilitation plan is flexible depending on each case and on sufficient follow-upsafter the child returns to his or her parents.
The Center was created in 2004 and used to welcome children in the morning only. It was later transformed into a shelter for children.
In 2019-2021
The center has helped a total of 59 children.
23 children were integrated with their families.
15 children fled or requested to leave the center.
Children who flee or leave the Center have a tendency to return to the streets to beg, find money and enjoytheir freedom
A 16 member team with salary :
A general manager, an administrative agent, a legal advisor,three social workers, an educational manager, an educator, a physical education manager, a recreational manager, two cooks, two housekeeping agents, a driver, a security agent.
The Center offers child psychological follow-up and treatment for children in need.
The volunteers
80 volunteers:
A Japanese volunteer worked for one year thanks to a cooperation protocol with the Japanese Association Jaica (Art-Therapy).
A Ukrainian volunteer to teach English.
Eight volunteers to introduce the children to music, theater, artistic and sports activities, as well as art therapy.
70 interns from the Social Service Institute.
Long-term activities:
These activities aim to identify the talents and abilities of children during educational and sports activities to better orient them towards a future profession or trade.
Occasional activities:
Two summer camps - Day trips - Contests - Exhibitions of thechildren's artwork: various crafts, woodencraft products.

Enroll the child in a school.

Assist with reintegration into the school environment.

Reinforcement groups for children beyond school age.
The educational manager, the supervisors and the whole team offer a constant follow up on the child's education and official exams.

The Egyptian Food Bank: covers 40% of monthly food needs.

Samusocial International Egypt: covers 30% of monthly food + health awareness according to the cooperation protocol of 2020-2023.

Various donations: clothing and other items needed.
Contribution of Father Henri Boulad:
Father Boulad covers the salaries which represent 60% of the budget.
Other needs of the Center are covered by donors.
